The cake
The prices quoted in this brochure apply to a traditional rich fruit cake
mixture with almond icing. Other options available for your wedding cake
are:
Maderia - Light lemon maderia layered with buttercream and coated
with white or ivory roll-out icing.
Chocolate - A rich chocolate maderia layered with ganache and
chocolate buttercream, finished with roll out icing or white chocolate as
in no. 26.
Carrot Cake - A moist cake with a citrus filling and finished with
roll out icing. Available only in 10” round.
A separate 10" maderia for cutting is available for €25.
Note: The horseshoe and the petal wedding cake are not available in
maderia. Stacked wedding cakes, the top tier only is available in Maderia.
Although not shown in our brochure, a 4 tier wedding cake is also available
in many of the designs and shapes seen in our brochure. Prices will vary
depending on the design.
4 tier with royal icing €385 approx.
4 tier with roll out icing €415 approx.
Un-iced fruit cakes are also available: 12" €55, 9"
€35, 6" €25.
Flowers
Flowers shown in the brochure are subject to availability and cost of
€15 per tier.
Cake stands
If a stand is required with a cake decorated by O’Connor’s Bakery, only a refundable deposit of €60 is
required. Otherwise stands can be hired for a charge of €25 plus a
refundable deposit of €60.
Pillars
If pillars are required please order them when ordering your cake. There is
a charge of €20 for pillars. Pillars are not suitable for horseshoe
wedding cakes or 3 tier maderia wedding cakes.
Delivery
There is no charge for delivery within 4 miles of any of our shops. Should
you wish to avail of delivery outside of this area, the cost will be
calculated for each individual order received.
Icing only
If you wish to make your own wedding cake and have it iced professionally,
the cost varies depending on the design. An average cost to almond and ice a
3 tier fruit cake would be €260.
Viewing
The cake can be viewed prior to delivery at our bakery in Ennis or at our
Shop in Galway. Please contact us to
arrange appointment for viewing.
Payment
All prices listed are in Euro (€). Payment in currencies other than
Euro can be facilitated but with an added charge to cover administration
costs involved. Credit Card payment is accepted but with an added charge of
€5 to cover administration costs. An non-refundable deposit of 25% is
payable at the time of order with the balance due before delivery of cake.
Note: Deposits on wedding cakes are non-refundable. All wedding cakes
must be paid for before delivery.
